I GOTCHU DONT EVEN WORRY ABOUT IT IT TAKES SOME PRACTICE BUT IT BECOMES HABIT VERY EASILY WHEN I WROTE SMUT IT ONLY TOOK ME A COUPLE WEEKS TO PERFECT IT WITH MY STYLE

Okay so do not feel bad for specifying at the beginning of a chapter AMAB or AFAB bodies, because detailed and good sex scenes and smut fics have references to anatomy this is just fact, because sex of any type includes, yknow, BODIES. AFAB gender neutral reader, you can say clit, AMAB gender neutral reader, you can say cock and prostate, it's not super complicated. I'd avoid going into detail about the chest area (i.e. Not "they kissed at their breasts/pecs" but "they kissed at their chest", referencing muscles goes more like "Running their hands across their chest, feeling at their defined muscle," stuff like that) but other than that anatomy is very straightforward. Practice with AMAB bodies in fics too if you're unfamiliar writing them!! It goes a long way, practice makes perfect!

It is more about how the reader is interacted with and less about how you approach anatomy, even though how you approach anatomy does matter. You honestly probably do this a lot when you're trying to practice but check that you've replaced pronouns with They/Them pronouns, avoid phrases like Good Girl/Boy and replace them with something similar, like "Good pet", "Good toy", "Being so good for me", etc etc, this is probably language you already know to use in a gender neutral reader fic but haven't actively put in yet. It's as simple as just making sure the tone and feel of how they're being treated doesn't sway towards masc or fem, and that they're just them, yknow? (unrelated to you orost blogs I follow but I stg tho if I see another fic on ao3 or fanfic. Net "less feminine reader this time UwU" and the only difference is the reader tops I'm gonna SCREAM-)

It's all about practice and being hyper vigilant to catch yourself when you start using gendered language, which takes a bit to get the hang of, but is super easy to edit when you're genuinely trying, so I think you'll get the hang of it really quickly!!! It's super simple when you know what you gotta do!//
